WHO IS GAMERDOC?
Dr. Lindsey Migliore is one of the foremost experts In esports medicine trusted by the leading esports organizations and industry leaders.
She has been gaming since she was seven years old, and practicing medicine for over five years.
Speaking & Hosting
Dr. Migliore has spoken at national gaming and medical conventions on the topic of esports medicine, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pax East, PaxOnline, GexCon, and GeekGirlCon.
Dr. Migliore has an extensive history producing and hosting content.
She co-hosted and helped produce the Twitch original show, Hit the Lab, which had over three million cumulative views in one season. She has also been featured in Evil Geniuses’ Live Proud Podcast, the 2020 Edge Event with co-panelists Cam Akers and Derwin James of the NFL and host Jess Brohard, eFuse’s Women of the eRena two and five, the Florida Citrus Sports: Collegiate Esports Symposium, and many more.
Esports Medicine
Dr. Migliore is a Faculty Associate in the NYIT Center for Sports Medicine, an editor of the Annals of Esports Medicine, and content contributor for Ezone and Learn2Esport. Along with co-editors Dr. Cait McGee and Dr. Melita Moore, she has written a Handbook of Esports Medicine that will be released by Springer Medical in June 2021.
Medical Training
Dr. Lindsey Migliore is a licensed medical doctor in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. She obtained her medical degree at NYITCOM and graduated in the top 5% of her class with Psi Sigma Alpha and Sigma Sigma Phi honors. She completed her internship in Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center and was awarded Intern of the Year
She is a graduate of the Georgetown University National Rehabilitation Hospital residency program and served as the Resident Wellness Director, Director of Social Media and sat on the MedStar HealthCare Equality Task Force. During her time there, she created training programs in esports medicine and social media. The former utilized a multi-disciplinary approach directly under the tutelage of Dr. Melita Moore.
Advocacy
Dr. Migliore is a staunch advocate for women and the LGBTQ population. She is a published author in the field of gender equity, and serves as the Executive Director of Queer Women of Esports. QWE is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to advocating for LGBTQ+ individuals in competitive gaming.
She currently serves as a Take This Streaming Ambassador, PlayVS GameChanger, a consultant for UknightedXP, & Content Expert, Physician Planner, and Planning Committee member at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker School of Medicine.
